The magical and dreamy palace of Neuschwanstein. This picture was taken from a car on the way back to Munich. Though this is not the best picture, but the clouds and the sun made for an interesting mood. Have a nice day!
Olympia tower is an integral part of Munich’s landscape. Build for the Munich Olympics, it is an attraction for locals and tourists alike. Locals use it for running fitness, etc, etc. It has beautiful Sakura “cherry blossom” trees which look beautiful when in full bloom. Here is a picture of the tower and the roof
Autumn has arrived with shorter days, cold winds and of course people out with jackets and mufflers. Winter is coming and I am looking forward to some good photo opportunities. This picture was taken in in 2012 on Herren Chiemsee. It was a bit dark but the fresh snow and the scenery was unbelievable.
The Benedictine priory and erstwhile abbey of Andechs is a place of pilgrimage on a hill east of the Ammersee in the Landkreis of Starnberg (Upper Bavaria) in Germany, in the municipality Andechs. Andechs Abbey is famed for its flamboyant Baroque church (1712) and its brewery. Composer Carl Orff is buried in the church. –
I love the way Traditional Bavarian houses are built and decorated. Every house has its own character. There is detail in every aspect of the building right from the doors and windows to the flowers on terraces and decorations in the gardens. This is a cosy Cafe’ in Schliersee near Munich. Have a nice day!
