For 30 years I have had a love hate relationship with summer. During my education it was more of love because of summer holidays. And probably my city, Pune, did not have as hot a summers as the last few years. But as I started working, it mostly turned into mild hate because of the sweltering heat during the day and stuffy home in the night due to air-conditioning.
But since I have moved to Germany, summer has become a season I look forward to. Reasons are plenty but the first thing that comes to mind is the Bavarian Spring /Summer blue sky with cotton clouds. Guess where the Bavarian flag takes its design inspiration from!
There are many other things to do from the start of spring through summer.
E. G. Hiking, vacation and long drives, playing outside, running, cycling to work and beer gardens of coarse.
This time, we went to a BeerenCafé near Munich. Had no idea what to expect as the Erdbeeren , Himbeeren, etc picking season is yet to start. But as it was a free and a sunny day, we decided to go, hoping that we will have a good time.
It us a good place for adults to relax while kids have a good time in the open air play area. There is also a petting zoo with goats and rabbits.
Concept of haystack puzzle is total fun for children and adults alike 😋. Probably there might be camp fires in the night by the look of the set up but then it might just be for baking bread on sticks.
I would definitely recommend BeerenCafé – Hofreiter in Lochhausen if you have kids. Don’t go if you are short on time.
